[ Somehow seeming fun has never been high on Broca's list of priorities, and despite being in a hedonist's paradise, it's still not high on his list now. He briefly considers refusing to tell this man his name, but he gets the vague sense that it wouldn't actually make him give up and go away. ]

[ So he says with a smile and rocking on the back of his heels. ]
[ That gets a sharp look from Broca, but he doesn't comment on it further as he starts to sort through things. Apparently looking beautiful isn't high on his list of priorities.
He's distracted as the question is asked, humming out a noncommittal sound as he snags a serviceable and very boring looking pair of gray sweatpants. ]
[ Good to know this man understands that much, though Broca would have assumed it was obvious what the "on" was here. He glances over his shoulder briefly. One ear flicks before he returns his attention on what he deems to be more important things right now. ]
[ This is exactly why Broca made him tell him first, because there was a very good chance he would say no. In fact, even with the somewhat harmless explanation he's still tempted to say no. ]
Why can't you say it out loud?
[ There are reasonable explanations for why someone might want to keep certain things spoken about in more hushed tones.
Meowing isn't one of them admittedly, but Broca doesn't know that's what's in store, ad does look like he's considering what Levy's pitching right now. ]
[ He attempts to look serious as he says what he says, but there is a twinkle in his eye that he just cannot escape from. Also, his voice lilts and teases a joke underneath all the words. ]

He'd already let some people well into that earlier into his stay anyway.
With a sigh, his ear presses back, flatter against his head even as he leans in, a silent relent to the request. ]
[ It took a bit of time but he was able to get what he wanted.
Leaning forward, he brings his mouth close to his ear. All that trust in me - well, I feel a little bad. His smile widens. Even if he feels bad, it's just a drop of pure water in a lake of sludge. ]
You're cute. Meow! [ Is what he ends up whispering. ]
[ Trust isn't the exact word Broca would use for his decision to let the man whisper into his ear, but he still manages to feel disappointed by the results. His expectations had been low, but he'd at least been hoping to hear some information or suspicions about their situation that might be useful.
Instead...
Broca's sigh is heavy as his hand shoots up to make a grab at the back of Levy's neck. If he moves quickly he can dodge out of the way despite the current close proximity. ]
He doesn't jerk out of the way of the hand. Rarely does he ever dodge since it's a situation where the other person would end up suffering for it. But he forgets - his abilities have been on the fritz. So, he doesn't get the enjoyment of seeing Broca respond to feeling like he's being grabbed by the back of the neck, too. ]
[ Almost a shame, because with all the neck grabbing Broca has been doing lately, he'd deserve a taste of his own medicine. Instead he's going to give Levy a small shake, just little bitty one, in response to that question. ]
